Borders on sounding shockingly good. Stellar drum performance that is done serious justice on this recording. This album is a banger.

Incredible sound, flat and quiet pressing. Reading a few other reviews I was concerned about track B1, no complaints at all. Yes it’s a little quiet and not as “alive” but by no means does it ruin the experience of listening to the album, if it bothers you skip it when you flip sides.

But why is track B1 'Moon Rappin'' inferior audio quality on this pressing/release? Master worn out/damaged? Only masterable version available? Rights issues? Is it same on first pressing? A real shame 'cos the rest of it is absolute killer. Yes, Blue Note, Tone Poet version please with B1 'Moon Rappin'' fixed!

came slightly warped but still plays well.. about 1/5 of these CVS/Tone Poets come with some warp but when flat are great.. make it easy and return 4-5 at Whole Foods(after buying amazon), grab a beer and instantly re-order LOL..

B1 drops is a dud but the rest of this record kicks. Really enjoying the dry drum sound which drives the organ and other instruments. Flat, quiet vinyl and an excellent master & cut.

Saw this on sale at Acoustic Sounds and based on the reviews here I took the bait. So glad I did! I've played the record several times now, and it's a stunner - and a fitting cover/title, as it does contain some very spaced out soul jazz. To echo what most others have said, this is an excellent pressing. Mine is flat, clean, and sounds like funky heaven.

A fabulous album. Can’t believe it was released over a year ago and I missed it! Sure track B1 is less spectacular than the rest but then they set a high standard. Flat and quiet too.

Burner! Sounds phenomenal…..mastered + engineered from the dream team KG + RVG….like other “organ records” from this series: absolutely recommended!

I have just got my copy, bought for 13 euros only. Is that promotion because of pressing issues? My copy is super flat and has no visible problems but, when playing, there is a lot of loud clicks, especially on A2, B1 and B2. It totally distracts me from listening. Note it happens several times per mentioned track. I am scary now because I typically do a visual check only when buying new vinyls and, if I did it that way in this case, I would not realize the issue at all. I am wondering if I have more such records that looks perfect but have hidden problems.

Sounds great: clear and crisp overall, tasty percussion. Wide soundstage. Clean, quiet pressing. Music way better than what I expected. I took a chance on this one and am very glad I did. Good album.
