Notes

Recorded at the Frontiera, Rome, Italy on 26th March 1997.
Restored and mixed in 2020.

When Porcupine Tree made their first official live album, they decided to record their 3 night stand at Rome's Frontiera club in order to capture as much repertoire as possible. The original live album (Coma Divine) was almost entirely drawn from the third and final night, but this new selection of material comes from the second night. As well as alternate versions of "Signify", "Dislocated Day" (incomplete but fun because of an impromptu drum solo !) and "Radioactive Toy", this selection includes several songs that were not chosen to be on "Coma Divine". Most notable among these is an unreleased group composition "Cryogenics" that was prepared especially for the concert recording, but did'nt make the cut and was subsequently never played again by the band.

Note that the original "Coma Divine" album was subject to a fair amount of repairs and overdubs to bring it up to a high audio standard. These new selections are exactly as recorded on the night so there are some technical shortcomings which we hope won't spoil your listening enjoyment !

A limited one-off pressing (4000 copies) on 180g opaque red vinyl, housed in a gatefold with printed inner sleeves.
Title on front cover is Coma:Coda, title on spine is Coma:Coda Rome 1997

I can't believe people are paying crazy prices for this when it's still available at Burning Shed at normal price.

Mine came thru clean sounding from Burning Shed. Good album considering they didn't touch it up any. Would have preferred Phase I of Voyage 34 so that's my only complaint. Would love to see Warszawa on vinyl some day which has Phase I.

My copy sounds very good! Just very few pops on side 4.

Had mine in the mail today, finally (had some istrative mishaps during shipping, got sent back to Burning Shed and had to be re-sent). Looks in superb state, one odd little black spot in the vinyl though, but by the looks of it no printing failure, no clearly visible problems with the print on the color. Will check it out soon.

Side 3 & 4 are clicky/noisy throughout on my copy. Other than that, sounds great. Wilson does vinyl very well.

on my copy the labels on sides C and D are completely off-center, so I asked for a replacement.

I don’t get the 100€ prices around here, as this is still available on burning shed for 26£.

No warped discs. No pops and cracks. No off-centre pressing and no vinyl scraps at the center hole. It has been a while since I received new vinyl that really sounds ànd looks like new vinyl. Nice red coloured pressing. The intro starts a bit muffled but hey, no overdubs on this release! PT sounds great here and it is nice to hear some 'rare' live recordings. A nice addition to my ever growing PT catalogue.

Got mine today - sounds great! Lots of thumpy low end. Nice photos in the gatefold/sleeves. The elusive Cryogenics segued into Dark Matter doesn’t disappoint. Love the acoustic Nine Cats and Every Home Is Wired too. Highly recommended - a wonderful release.

Still available on Burning Shed as of August 2022 - don’t the scalpers here!
