There should be at the very least one excellent review every month regarding that pressing.
Here's the march 2025 one.
Now go read everything that's already been said, and multiply it by 4: you'll nearly get close to what it really is. -
This is now my go-to pressing of Blue. Top notch pressing quality, and the Bernie Grundman remaster is so beautiful, and this beats the original US pressing and the 2019 blue vinyl Chris Bellman Cut (which I always found too bright).

I'm assuming my copy is a dud when considering the glowing reviews that everyone else seems to have. Constant noise throughout which is far too distracting for such a melancholic album. Just played my 2024 pressing of Don Juan's reckless daughter to check that my hearing isn't playing tricks on me and can confirm that its definitely poor. Waiting to hear back from the online retailer about a swap

I feel very fortunate that my interest in this album coincided with an absolutely beautiful pressing being available at a bargain price. I second all the praise for the pressing and all the hype for how wonderful the content is. Record was flat, quiet, and came in a poly lined sleeve.

I picked this up new on Clearance for $7! I have an OG, but since this was so cheap I figured I'd give it a shot and trade it in somewhere if I didn't like it.
After a thorough VPI cleaning this has got to be one of the quietest pressings I've ever heard which is saying A LOT as I am listening on my custom headphone rig (balanced and driver modified Sennheiser 600 300ohm), so if there is the tiniest bit of anything I pick it up. This is inky black quiet.
This pressing is eerily quiet, flat, and punchy. I am partially mad I waited so long to grab one, while simultaneously STOKED since I got it for ridiculously cheap. But still I would recommend at full price!! Im even thinking of going back and grabbing another one JUST in case something ever happened to this copy! -
Better sound than any hires digital versions. Same mastering though availbe on qobuz. Some reviews are overblown stating its perfection, but this is a worthwhile pressing. Some pops and clicks but only noticeable in the quieter songs. Picked up a mint copy for 20 bucks. I've paid more for worse. If you're debating, and have the means to, get the mofi. You know you want to

Great pressing and mastering and it's cheap. Make me forget to think to order MOFI or original. Kudos to BG

Edited 11 months agoAbsolutely dead silent, unbelievably dynamic, and flat as a board? Yep, this is about as perfect of a pressing as you could get. Don't this one up

Edited one year agoMy copy is perfectly flat and mostly clean, some small cracks but nothing too bad. Definitely a better version than the 24 bits / 192 kHz digital I’ve heard, which sounds a bit compressed and thin. This one is much more involving, way less compressed and more “organic” sounding. A much more interesting and natural experience here. No major complaints. Joni's voice is really amazing on this album! 4.5 / 5

Absolutely fantastic pressing, no surface noise, perfectly centered on both sides, high quality packaging, great mastering. Really high quality press
