Tracks 5 to 8, 12 to 18 *previously unreleased on CD.
"Fronted by the inimitable Pete Burns, Dead Or Alive are one of the most iconic bands of the 80s, conquering the mainstream with sheer attitude, outrageous imagery and irresistible Hi-NRG productions from Stock Aitken Waterman. Bringing together the original 7" mixes of every UK single on Epic for the very first time, "That's The Way I Like It" is the definitive Dead Or Alive..."
Track listing on tray insert not as complete as track listing on inner cover. Inner-cover listing represented within the track listing.
Tracks 3, 6, and 15 ("Lover Come Back To Me" and "Brand New Lover") are slower than the original releases for which, at the time, the master tapes were played too fast, according to compiler Tom Parker. They appear here as they should have been, hence their slightly longer playing times compared to other releases.
Track 16 "My Heart Goes Bang American Wipe Out Mix" is 6.19 and not 6.42 as listed on this release. This is the 'Short' American Wipe Out Mix, which appeared on the Japanese & US 12" singles, this being a shorter mix than the one that appeared on the UK 12" single.

An idea a fan has brought to my attention on another website, the album Nude should be remastered fully and add a second Cd with a fully complete remixing of the nude album by either pete hammond or yoyo or anyone from PWL as it might have been if SAW/PWL had produced it in 1989...I believe this might be very interesting to hear

Edited 5 years agoGreat comp, including almost all the 7" mixes, although I'm not sure why Hooked On Love (Remix) was left off if they had room for remixes. Still a pretty stellar tracklist, although I must say it's mastered way too quietly.

Lightweight compilation for lightweight fans. Obviously Sophisticated Boom Box is expensive AF but you're better off getting their albums, these are mostly single versions and ignores their impressive catalouge. It doesn't feature anything from the Nukleopatra era.

anyone thinking about buying this album here's a few things you need to know
That's The Way I Like It (7" Version)
Lover Come Back To Me
In Too Deep (7" Remix)
My Heart Goes Bang (Get Me To The Doctor) (7" Version)
Brand New Lover (Edit)
are all pitched are improperly pitched and consequently play too slow
Brand New Lover (Edit) & Lover Come Back To Me are the most slow. if you buy a greatest hits buy Evolution. Evolution has the unpitched versions of That's The Way I Like It (7" Version) & In Too Deep (7" Remix). the other songs you can not get anywhere that are on this album. if you have both albums listen to That's The Way on this album & That's The Way Evolution you will believe me that there is something off on this version. -
