Excellent bridge from HIM to the solo. Literally solo as Ville Valo wrote it, recorded and produced it and played every instrument on the album, everything you will hear was done by one person.
The album is very complex and colourful. I love the songs order, the tracklist is perfect like it is.
It contains one instrumental track Zener Solitaire, which is sort of a modern "Twin Peaks" theme. The best song is the last one - Vertigo Eyes. Which is a mix of The Cure and Depeche Mode, or like Gone With The Sin and Drawn and Quartered had a beautiful baby.
The album starts with the Echolocate your love which is a pretty nice song that will probably remind HIM. Songs like Neon Noir and The Foreverlost are definitely HIM like songs, exactly like a mix Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights and Dark Light while still sounding refreshing. The other songs are awesome as they are. Heartful of Ghosts is a nice The Cure-like song. I really like the 80s vibe of the album. Imagine HIM was a band from 80s, well its probably how it would have sounded.
I think this is best Ville's work since Razorblade Romance
