the most lana del rey album and pressing that ever lana del rey'ed (in other words, stunning and flawless) -
This is honestly the best “bang for your buck” copy you can get for ocean blvd. The front + back cover, the gatefold, and down to the center lables, everything is color coded and matching. So you get perfect matching artworks, a poster, and beautifully colored heavyweight 2lp discs that sound phenomenal (at least for me). The only pressing that’s better sound and quality wise is the nude pressing. -

The content of this album is wonderfully composed. The pressing of the album seems to intentionally add some pops and crackles for character. Some of us love that old sound when playing a record and Lana Del Rey/Elizabeth Grant strikes me as that kind of girl. Embracing the imperfections. -
Normally it can feel unnecessary and cash-grabby when an artist releases so many variants, but all of the variants of this record are made with so much love and taste, any one you grab has such beautiful photography and artwork. I am so in awe of the art direction of this incredible album! -
I bought mine straight from target, no shipping or anything. Mine doesn’t have any of the crackles or pops, but I guess that’s just the gamble you get when you buy vinyl as it is a very imperfect listening medium. Love my copy though, I put the poster right next to my player and it’s so cute ♥️ keeping mine forever !

Maybe I got lucky, or maybe I just wet cleaned this before playing this like you're supposed to, but mine has virtually none of the pops or crackle others have described. This is despote a sizable portion of this album being quite sparse when crackle would be much more evident. On top of that, I find this to be very well mastered by Joe Nino-Hernes at Sterling. Some of these tracks have stuck rich, deep bass while never losing the vocals. This may not be quite NFR! but to me it is quite close and up there with Ultraviolence. It is quite a good press and will get a lot of play.

I have all 6 editions of this album on vinyl (white, two Black editions, pink-purple, green and red). Compared by sound. For me, the best sound is in white and pink-purple, they are the cleanest, without unfilled places, without noise. The noisiest are the two black vinyls editions - Like wood in a fireplace. Green and red vinyls have a lot of unfilled places, this can be clearly heard between tracks. I recommend white vinyl and pink-purple vinyl (from Amazon Exclusive) to Your collection. You will enjoy from listening these two vinyls editions.
