Just received this beautiful lp in the mail today. Finishing up side A and I really have zero complaints so far Absolutely loving the color on this one. The track list is definitely a mood. Really nice compilation.
-
There's zero (0) problems with my copy. The music selection is superb. Perfect for the warmer weather. The music just oozes out of my speakers.
-
Music selection is outstanding as always, but yeah my copy is warped as well and honestly I'm thinking even the spindle hole is off-centre. I'm watching my tonearm move up and down with the warp, but I see it also sliding side to side rather noticeably and consistently. I'm guessing many other reviewers may notice the same on their copy. I hope this might eventually serve as a wake up call for quality control & assurance at the pressing plant

For one mad moment I thought I lucked out but no, I noticed a warp as soon as the turntable started spinning. It's a small warp that looks bad but doesn't affect play, but that is beside the point. Warpage of any kind is unacceptable. So, what do I do.?? Well, I bend over and take it up the clacker... but the quality control at the pressing plant seems to deteriorate with every new Jazz Dispensary release. The mastering is fine. The colour of the vinyl is absolutely gorgeous. You may have seen "orange marble" before but you ain't seen THIS.!! Imagine translucent orange vinyl marbled with purple and gold. It's stunning... and I like the selection of tunes. Not a totally silent pressing. A few crackles and swishes. I'll give it a clean and hope that's the extent of the problem.

My copy has nearly zero surface noise. Although it does have some medium sized warping. Definitely more warping than I'm happy with! And the vinyl seems almost flimsy? floppy? But both sides go perfectly flat using a record weight. I very rarely use my record weight but this is one situation where I'm glad I have it!

Just played my UK purchase copy today. Obvious warping, but plays ok and no clicks etc. I’ve got a clamp too. I was considering taking it back and sourcing another copy, but given the lack of QC of this product I think I’m best with the devil I know.
-
Wonderful release. Vinyl color is gorgeous. Great selection of tracks. Did need a cleaning before play and sounds crisp and clear after. A little noise here and there but nothing distracting and definitely nothing more than expected from colored vinyl. Another Jazz Dispensary home run (IMO).

Noisy, noisy, noisy. Love this series and buy them all but quality control for this label is sadly lacking.
-
My first jazz dispensary record (also my first jazz record ever) and it sounds and looks incredible! Guess I was lucky because mines wasn't warped.
-
Guess I lucked out too, tiny warp but nothing that's a problem, otherwise plays and sounds perfect. But more importantly, what a brilliant selection as usual, always one of the best RSD titles, happy to have this one in the collection.
