I have a mint copy of this pressing and it sounds fantastic! I wonder what sonic differences exist between the record club version and the non club Australian first press? I would think they sound the same, how could it be better than this?

Love the sound of this pressing, dynamics sound big and spacious and when it gets loud, the high end doesn't get absolutely wrecked which is nice.
-
This version (non gatefold sleeve) is the Australian Record Club version. The Phonogram (Fontana label) version has the gate fold sleeve.

Black Sabbath was originally signed to Fontana which was a label owned by Philips.Sabbath was then moved to another Philips owned label , Vertigo which was considered more progressive. The ST album by Black Sabbath was released on Fontana before the Vertigo.
