Edited 13 years agoThis is truly a ground-breaking hip hip album!! It just has everything you could possibly desire; Ill lyrics, dope production, crazy sounds, aggression and personalty. This is the future of Hip hop today! I just can't wait for another record and hopefully one day catch them live, their shows look epic! Highlights of the album for me are: Thru The Walls, I Want It I Need It, Known For It, Blood Creepin, Spread Eagle, Klink, Beware and of course: "It Goes, It Goes, It Goes, It's Goes Guillotine!! Yah!

Edited 13 years agoThis is exactly what I needed this year.
It's like a slightly more aggressive Techno Animal or ICE ...and besides those obvious two, many of the beats & overall production remind me of Shizuo's "Fuck Step '98" album or Fever's "Too Bad But True".
Totally harsh and bonkers.
But yeah, at the moment this album is untouchable on every level. Beats, production, rapping, lyrical content, etc...
The stand out tracks for me are "Guillotine", "Beware", "Lord Of The Game", "Takyon", & "Culture Shock".
It's 2011 and we have a black president and computers in our pockets (which means we officially live in "the future"), and THIS is what rap should sound like in the future!
also, on a sidenote:
If I were Atari Teenage Riot, I'd be embarrassed as fuck right now for putting that weakass bullshit "Is This Hyperreal" album out and claiming it's heavy and hardcore. Fuck that. Death Grips has left Alec Phantom Menace & Yoko Endo in the fucking dust. Exmilitary is raw and full of ACTUAL EMOTION AND AGGRESSION, not pussy posturing in leather pants. -
Edited 13 years agoWhat just happened?
This thing is miles ahead of anything ANYONE is doing in hip-hop these days. It makes the OF gang look like a bad joke.
When it clicks, it's tight, although I can't listen to this every day, or every week for that matter. Definitely music for a certain mood. Astonishing.
