Special thanks to Mirwais and Spike for all of their hard work, dedication and love. To Monte Pittman and Stuart Price for good vibes and cool shoes.
To P-Dub for letting me borrow his computers at whim. To Gibson for my bitchin' new guitars.
To Eitan Yardeni and the Berg family for wisdom and guidance in all matters. To Shari Goldschmidt for always doing the dirty work with a smile on her face.
To Angela Becker for going above and beyond the call of duty. Extra special thanks to Caresse Henry for exemplary behavior under pressure at all times.
And the most special of all thanks to the Mister for shining his light in my direction. xxxxxx

Edited one year agoAn overall amazing pressing, I must agree with the pronounced Ss but only on disc one (Which is sad because I'd love to listen to Nothing Fails, or better said "Nothing Falls" lol on amazing quality) but Disc 2 sounds beautifully at 45RPM, just like If Madonna was singing next to you. A must have for any Madonna fan
-
Very pronounced Ss on many songs (I have a good combo so not the system). Not sibilance per say, but overly harsh. DR is good, lots of nice clean bass. Imaging/staging decent, separation between instruments is reasonably good on most tracks. Too bad about the pronounced Ss, tskes a lot away from.an otherwise decent recording.
Would love to know if the 200g release has the same issues? -
Edited one year agoI don't get complaints about this release. I absolutely adore it. The sound is very dynamic. It's very clear and loud. Heavy bass as usual madonna. Make sure to get the right pressing. Both discs are 33 rpm and they are not 180g.
-
Excellent pressing, no issues and zero sibilance. Packaging is bare bones with no lyrics or picture inner sleeves but I don’t think the original CD had that either. Very impressed and highly recommended.
-
I love how this album sounds on vinyl! Definitely worth buying if you like this LP. Would be nice if there was some kind of insert, but I ain't complaining!

Edited 2 years agoI’m wondering if those who complain about distortion have counterfeit copies. Cuz that’s what happens when you put loudly mastered CDs onto wax. Madonna records from 2003 being readily available this late into the future? One of the best selling artists of all time to have even pressings of the original Music so common as of this writing? They were even cheaper and everywhere online back in 2014. Does not make sense. All those pirated picture discs you’d not think black LPs aren’t pirated either?
I have a 2003 pressing that sounds phenomenal, but bought it from a friend who got it from Europe. Have a sealed one I bought in 2009 but haven’t opened it. It sures the 180g version. Same concept with Bedtime Stories, original pressing is clear.
No distortion on my 2003 pressing, 2016 yes mild.
A lot of the distortion on the CD is much less harsh on my set up. Warmer and sounds more open. -
Obvious sibilance problems as has been stated many a time, but honestly, I've grown kind of close to this mix in a weird way. If you can look past all the sibilance on the first disc, I weirdly kind of like the loud, harsh sound this pressing employs, it suits the album in a way. And whenever I listen to this specific album on streaming services, it sounds almost weak in comparison. I can understand why some may hate the way this record sounds, but I don't know... I've gotten used to it and think it's just a different experience.
-
Sounds pretty good and clear but it has some sibilance problems on Disc 1 (especially on love profusion and nothing fails) nothing fails also is pretty distorted when the choir comes in. Disc 2 sounds a lot better.
-
Sounds crisp and clear, was holding back on buying this album as it’s my least favourite Madonna album, but am glad it sounds so great on the songs I enjoy.
