Pressing is good, no flaws to speak of, and it sounds pretty much exactly as you'd expect this album to sound. I can't imagine any other version sounding significantly better than this. You can still find this pretty cheap, so I'd say it's worthwhile.

Pressing is just fine, right there in your face in your basement. J’s vocals are crystal and not buried in the mix. My copy has side 2 labels on both sides oops. At least with 4 v 5 songs it’s not hard to determine what side is what, but cmon quality control

I think it sounds exactly like I it first time around - raw and unpolished with brilliant melodies - don't be expecting any high gloss production just because its been remastered.

Purposefully raw and poor quality from the original master. This pressing doesn't fix that. You wont hear anything new with this pressing. Just good old Dinosaur Jr....in.... Lo-fi.

I don’t know if I trust my ears, but it seems like this remaster is sped up.

It seems as if many are expecting an ed Sheeran type vinyl recording. No this is a raw production record done by people with a soul so it's not polished up and Simon Cowell endorsed. It's similar to early mudhoney and even early Nirvana, but in particular sonic youth as the roots of this sound. If you're expecting grunge like mother love bone, nirvanas nevermind, pearl jam etc, then this is not one for you!

Pretty muddy record but I just turn up the treble knob a tiny bit on my system and I'm good

Not much difference with the original pressing to be honest. Same thing with Bug. Get some old pressing if you’re into collectible items but if you just want the music on vinyl this is fine.

This sounds completely okay to my ears. this is Dinosaur Jr we're talking about, the master tape is muddy and distorted (apparently the VU meters at SST were in the red almost the whole time when they first played the tape).

Not sure if some people are missing the point of the band's sound, but this record sounds great!
