Title is a year old at this point and the numbers have quadrupled, but the content is still as powerful, raw and relevant as ever. Just got myself a copy and the minute of silence in the beginning hits so much harder on vinyl..

Just saw them on the 28th of April in Denver enjoyed what I heard from this Album, ordered/received this DLP, Cleaned, and Spinning now...Both LP's are flat, has some background noise but not horrible (Side A=Next to Zero Side B=Some at the Beginning Side C=Next to Zero Side D=Some at the Beginning), and overall it sounds damn good on my modest system...
(Fluance RT-82 w/Acrylic Platter, ATN-XP cart/5 stylus. Nobsound T3 Phono Amp, Aiyima A07 Pro, Kicker KB6B, & 2x Polk PSW10 Subs...Simple Low Cost Setup)...Happy Listening -
Bought my copy at their gig in Turin for a much cheaper price than both local and online stores and i'm very pleased.
Packaging is top notch !
Pressing is very good: my copy has only few loud pops at the very beginning of side b, otherwise it's dead silent.
I found the vinyl sounding a bit warmer and instruments more airy compared to the hi-res streaming version.
The bonus track on side d is a very welcome addition and an IMO it is a more emotional-fitting end for the album. -

Edited 4 months agoThe other reviewers are correct, this is an incredible pressing. I own every Godspeed album, which all sound various levels of “good” but this one is probably the best out of all of them. I’m so glad the power of this pressing matches the power of the music; the disconnect between the two can really make or break an album.
Just like every album they have put out, this one moved me to tears, but the context surrounding its creation and not-so subtle title, it hits just that much harder. What words are there left to say, when war crimes such as this are allowed to persist in the 21st century, in a “civilized” society, completely unchecked by the rest of the world. Godspeed understands this and as a result, created their most direct, no bullshit album to date. Gone is the cryptic and esoteric aspects of their music, replaced by pure unrelenting despair for the fallen and worry for those who remain. But above it all, an undying sense of hope that things can and WILL get better.

The packaging on this is wonderful. The records sound great. They’re also nice and flat, which seems to be rare for vinyl anymore. As for the music, Sides A & B are mediocre and C & D are pretty great. I’d give it three and half stars, if I could.

I’m surprised by everyone saying how quiet and immaculate the vinyl for this title is. My copy has lots of repeating ticks and clicks on multiple sides. Very distracting and off putting. The music, however, is glorious. Perhaps having my copy professionally cleaned will improve the sound quality.

Unlike my other GY!BE records, this pressing is clean and plays very well. The mix is great as well, maybe slightly low but not enough to bother me. Heavy records, and beautiful packaging as well.
