Anyone know who mastered this and cut the lacquer? I started collecting records in 2014, and this thing has been on my "repress please" list from the very beginning. I am happy to report it plays great. There's absolutely zero surface noise on my pressing and no unevenness/warping, either.

Edited 18 days agoBeen on my "wish it had a repress" list for years. So glad to have this on vinyl. And this 2LP pressing allows the music to breathe a bit. I've never listened to an original pressing, but I can't imagine that all those tracks crammed onto only 2 sides sounds better than this. That said, this still has a bit of compression and needs to be turned up, but sounds great once you do!
Also, I either got really lucky or y'all just need to clean your copies. ZERO noise on mine, but I always ultrasonic clean my records (even new ones) before playing. Those printed paper inner sleeves are notorious for creating static electricity, so that is probably the culprit. Change those things out! Nice to look at, but horrible for your records.
The current prices for this pressing are more than acceptable. Likely the cheapest brand-new 2LP release on colored vinyl that you'll find. Definitely a high point of RSD 2025 for me. Pick it up - you won't regret it! -
Edited 27 days agoI have LOVED this album since I was introduced to it shortly after its release. Unfortunately side 2 has much surface noise. Total bummer it's in the quiet parts of song B-1 and B-2. I am going to have to try a deep clean in hopes it fixes it a little.

Happy to see this record get the reissue it so desperately needed. I wet cleaned my record before the first play and had none of the noise issues other s are describing.

can never have enough copies of a masterpiece right? thrilled to think (pun intended) people may be getting this for the first time through rsd. Sounds great, tho for me side c was the one giving some issue, but hoping just needs a little clean up. and love to see side d getting the songs from the dog promo (tho part of me thinks they could kept the album on one disc then the second disc could be the dog promo on one side and the hit liquor ep on the other) - but who am i to complain?? Its 2025 and im getting a new press of the most overlooked album on the 90s. excited to get ten fingers on it.

I love this album to pieces and I'm overjoyed to have it on vinyl at a reasonable price. Also love the live to 2-track Dischord-era songs that have been out and about on promotional CD's for ages. However, the surface noise on this pressing is pretty heavy, particularly on the bonus tracks on side D; hopeful that a good cleaning helps make this sound a bit better.

Side B presents a bunch of surface noise throughout in the way that only an over-priced major label reissue can! Great job, Epic!

This pressing sounds great! One of my all time favorite albums and I'm psyched I finally have it on vinyl w/o shelling out major cash for a foreign print
