Bad crapy GZ press. What a shame! European presses are pressed by Schallplattenfabrik Pallas. Those are the way!

I got my US Feathered Host vinyl in and I'm not sure what other people are playing the record on, but, mine sounds fantastic. Dynamic, click and pop free, flat. Cut by Ryan K Smith, it is simply amazing!

Edited 10 days agoI think that due to the high quantity and variants pressed for demand, there are widespread and varied issues that affect some but not all copies circulating. For whatever reason the band decided that RCA was better than Spinefarm records may be, RCA definitely dropped the ball for this hugely popular band. The price point alone warranted a higher quality product. Of course, the triple gatefold is amazing, but they failed with the quality on the vinyl and music mastering / pressing. My first copy had some surface noise and pops. However, it did have a seam split from shipping and from the jagged vinyl edges that someone else mentioned from bad lathe trimming, so I returned it. The second copy sounds better, significantly less surface noise throughout. flat, no wobbles, and pressed on center. The lathe trimmed edges are not jagged on the second copy. The records are light but not super flimsy, maybe 150 grams?? There are some saying the green US Veridian variant sounds superb. I haven't opened mine to check. It is annoying that the jacket is very wide, making it impossible to find any standard gatefold poly sleeve to protect it.
**also: Would it have killed them to use unique hype stickers for the different variants??? -
Music itself is top notch. Second favorite record from ST. The quality of this pressing is definitely subpar, however. Decently dynamic, the music translates really well, I just wish there was slightly more depth and I wish the discs were a little heavier, they feel very thin and cheap. There is also a decent amount of persistent surface noise. RCA will be RCA. Still a fantastic project from Sleep Token, recommend.

Great album, sub par pressing. Sides 2 and 3 are also practically barren. They could have mastered the vinyl better to have more low end or possibly have put this on two 45s with how much space there was. It feels like they took the digital master and pasted on the vinyl VS doing a special master for it.
Good music, though. -
The edges of both vinyls are trimmed poorly leaving them quite jagged. Lots of surface noise and loud popping are prominent throughout. Not a great pressing, unfortunately.

is anyone else's sleeve weirdly sized? out of my entire collection, this one is wider but also shorter than anything else i own lol.
quality sounds nice though, minimal surface noise -
Decent dynamics. Crisp low end, not overwhelming. Hot mix but expected. Busy metal sections sound powerful and clear.
