Found this for a steal at a local record store. It sounds incredible! I think this pressing sounds better than the newer 50th anniversary Dark side of the moon that I have. I don't have the re-release of Animals to compare it with.

Heard many times about how these original pressings sound bad. Maybe I’m one of the lucky ones! Sound great. Pulled my old copy and was surprised just how good it was and how depressing I find this album. Especially as a young man. It just sounded and felt they way life can beat you about and it’s a hell of a soundtrack for disappointment. That being said, those funky guitars stabs and melody lines carry you all the way through to pigs on the wing! The new remix remaster may reveal even more. Makes an old head curious?

Fantastic pressing, Sounds Amazing, I have a dead quiet pressing. Ultrasonic cleaned and Vac Dried. This pressing sings with great low end.

So deep and immersive. The soundstage is shockingly good. Highly Recommend!

Extremely good sounding record with deep soundstage, incredible bass drum and very very good separation of the instruments. Beats the 2016 remaster every day of the week!

My favorite Pink Floyd album. From my teenage collector years. I was 16 at the time and was just learning to smoke Newport cigarettes. (don't worry gave the habit up in '89).

This was a runner up to their masterpiece! Some good commentary on politics and social life.

Got the newest 2016 remaster. On lyrics cardboard sleeve it has a misprint of instead of the real lyric "who was given a pat on the back" replaced with the 1975 version of 'Dogs' /You've Got To Be Crazy/'s lyric of "Who was given a seat in the stand." Very strange
