I thought I'd grown tired of this band's music, but The Moon Is Down turned out to be a great way back in.
The visual artwork with this album is top tier. It looks so great in 12 inch. -
Any way to see the difference between the 2001 release and the 2016 re-issue? All the information/layout/design is the exact same and would love to know!

I was really looking forward to get this record, because it's a really nice album and was happy that I found one in my record store. There was a code and also thank you note (which was beautiful and lifted my heart). The record itself wasn't (surprisingly) warped by all these years in shrink wrap, so that made me happy. But still, the record was inside paper inner sleeve, with ton of dust and dirt. There weren't any scuffs at least, but even after a proper wet cleaning, the record had way too many pops for a post-rock album to have. It can be ignored in the loud parts, but this album isn't typical 2000's rock album. It is listenable, but annoying. Would love to give the album 5 stars, but I just can't.

Edited 6 years agoThe below comment is correct, i have a first press and there is color printing on the record label as opposed to the photos on this listing.
Edit: i added photos of the first press color labels, all b/w labels should be considered represses. -
Edited 10 years agoI wrote the owner of TRL many years ago to find out if there was a difference between the first pressing and the later pressings. He told me that the first pressing had color on the record disc labels and the rest were just black and white.
