An extraordinarily wide-ranging album that typifies exactly what RIO "Rock In Opposition" is all about, from an expanded version of the Belgian outfit, dusting off much of their former Canterbury influence, adding some side-splitting pastiche, twisting some baroque and/or French café music culture on its head, and also going the whole hog for some deeply experimental avant-rock that blends everything from Stravinsky to Zappa, from a hybrid band with the core of the Art Bears (and Henry Cow) getting deep and dark with it. Every track a surprise. Still as fresh as ever!
