Edited 6 years agoA lot of the versions of "Kiss You All Over" from compilations, available for -purchase seem to be re-recordings. So there are two lead singers, they take turns in the first verse, Jimmy Stokely singing bass in the first half and J.P. Pennington singing the second half in his higher voice. On most versions from compilations, I think someone else is singing Stokely's part, after all I read that Stokely left the band in '79 and died in '85. The new singer just doesn't sound as good, doesn't have the same ion. I can't find the Mixed Emotions album on iTunes or anywhere, I had it on cassette once and now regret giving it away. Of course the album version is longer, it has a second verse. The single/radio version always seems incomplete when I hear it, going from the first chorus to the bridge. Anyway, I'll be looking out for a vinyl or cassette of Mixed Emotions now.

Classic. Bought the original single in 1978 in the UK on the RAK label. I have just ordered the US copy.
