Final statement: heavy metal with euro Italo disco synth. Swedish mix - influence from 2 sides.

Yeah! Yeah! Hater gonna hate! This might not be a heavy metal album if you define true metal as Pantera, Black Sabbath or Metallica, but this album actually has some pretty good songwriting on it, and in the end, that is what really counts. Of cause you would have to pretty silly lyrical topics like ninjas, indians, space travel and love, but then again: name one eighties metal album that doesn't contain some pretty silly lyrics. With that in mind, this isn't that bad
That said, I started out as a skeptic too. Back in the days where home taping was killing music, I had a tape copy of this album, so when I found this album dirt cheap I bought it for nostalgic reasons, thinking that I would listen through it halfway and the get rid of it again. But much to my surprise, I listened through it all the way, flipped it over and went through it at least 3 times that day.
In my opinion, this might not be a heavy metal masterpiece per se, but it's a pretty damn strong album. -
Edited 8 years agoI agree with the previous reviewer. This is NOT metal by any means. A keyboard riff for the title track is totally not metal. The damn song is about Space travel. Does that make it metal?! Yeah, maybe if you're from Venus! There's a real good reason, "VH-1 cable music channel" rated this song the worst ever on their Metal countdown.
