He's Randy and he'll..eh...wipe ye? No, that doesn't really scan, does it.
A housewives favourite; like an Italian Jimmy Osmond appearing from the shrubbery there (on the sleeve). That's better.
I can't think of many other tunes that are as uplifting and can put a smile on yer face.
..apart from all of Jimmy Osmond's back catalogue. -

Randy Wiper is only known for this 1984 single. Maybe he didn't get anything out again because he found the answer: he wanted to know, he knew, and he didn't ask any more. I'd Like To Know is a theme that we could cut in three. The beginning - the scheme of which is repeated in the later instrumental parts - has the sideranpower of spacedisco. When it looks like we're leaving the planet on a shuttle, the soloist's voice comes in. A voice endowed with inflections, with personality, sometimes reminiscent of that of Roy Orbison, sometimes that of David Bowie. It's the romantic part of ballad, which underscores piano and ion. Finally, the chorus sounds exclaiming, supplicant, but at the same time light-hearted and danceable. The space, the heart, the disco: three places that we walk through through a unique theme.

Dark Entries Editions need to get on this. Seriously catchy Italo.
I for one would buy a decent reissue, and let's face it there's no way to buy an (at least VG) original without spending $$$. -

Edited 18 years agoWhat an amazing gem this song is! The best song on this small label deserves so much more attention! I think that "I'd Like To Know" is one of the finest male vocal Italo Disco songs of all! Very nice production that is along the lines of a love song like Gazebo's best works. DOn't on this one, it's a masterpiece!
