I am a collector and sell items from my collection as a hobby while working a busy day-job. SHIPPING
I might use recycled envelopes and boxes.
Buyer is responsible for shipping costs.
Buyer needs to select shipping method that fits their risk profile:
"Standard" = Buyer carries responsibility for loss during transit
"Tracked" or "Signed For" = Buyer receives tracking number for the shipment and the shipment is insured up to the declared value.
"Signed for" postage is sent via UK Royal Mail and can be traced here http://www.postoffice.co.uk/track-trace
A lost shipment needs to be investigated by Royal Mail which can take several weeks.
PLEASE note that it is always the buyer's responsibility to select which postage service suits their risk profile. YOU have to decide whether you want tracking, signature-on-delivery or insurance which might come at additional cost. If you select the default standard shipping, there won't be any tracking of your order nor any insurance. With Standard shipping any losses during transit will be your responsibility.
If you select a more secure form of shipment I will of course assist with any necessary Royal Mail investigation, but please note that an investigation of a lost international shipment can take up to 90 days according to Royal Mail, so please be patient before filing a claim with Paypal.
International Buyers (including EU due to Brexit), please note that in almost all cases you will have pre-paid all mandatory taxes automatically when making your payment on Discogs. I will attach the correct customs declaration on the autside of the shipment showing that you have paid (for example) your local import VAT (in EU countries) or State Sales Tax (in the US). Should your customs inspection disagree, please refer to the documentation attached to your shipment for disputes with your Customs authorities. Very large (ie very valuable) orders might exceed certain thresholds in your country and might trigger import customs charges. It is your responsibility to know your country's import rules and comply with them.
Please note: Discogs is forcing Sellers (=me) to set their "Shipping Policies" by October 1st, 2020 to make it straight forward for buyer (=you) to see how much you have to pay for shipping. A great idea in principle, but the interface Discogs uses to code the shipping policies is horrible. Shipping policies have been set up and should show correctly for your location when looking at a listing. Shipping charges for orders with different formats mixed on request.

(1) You might be interested in several items and we agree on a reasonable discount for your multi-buy.
(2) Market prices fluctuate over time and I do not constantly re-price my items. If my listed price is totally "out" compared to other sellers, make a reasonable offer.
