It's a decent label that releases pretty cool material, but some of the pressings have sound quality issues.
While multicoloured vinyl is pretty to the eye, it is never a patch on black vinyl as far as sound quality goes.
This is further hampered by the pressing plant GZ Media, who were notorious for dodgy coloured vinyl pressings.
Oh, and as far as the mastering goes, it's also hit & miss. Some tracks, such as Psychic Youth - The Future Now (on Electroconvulsive Therapy Vol. 1) sound noticeably compressed & too "played around with" (heavy declicking, etc).
I realise that I'm coming across like a bit of a dick towards this label, but the truth is that I really like them. I would just love them to sort out the issues above. -
I like what this label is re-pressing. They must work from ADATs for many of these pressings, as this is all that they are able to access or all that remains from the studio. YMMV.
