The best record plant today and I wish these guys were hired by the likes of Rhino instead of Optimal that is a never-ending return saga. Never had an issue with a Record Industry copy, very quiet backgrounds.

Edited 2 months agoEvery big plant including RTI, Optimal, and Pallas have taken a nosedive in quality recently. Record Industry, however, has only gotten better! They are easily the best plant around now. Every record I have from them is as quiet as a CD.

Nothing but good products from RI on my end quality wise, and their in-house cut pressings (E.G. Boston self titled, bridge over troubled water, Who's Next) all sound magnificent.

well, pressing is the last link of the chaιn but not the only. I read carefully some negative options here on RI and must say that although the press looked not so good who knows what happened before pressing. It is like when saying , this loudspeaker is not good and the problem might be with your cartridge or with anything before the speaker. Having an experience in vinyl for more than 45 years , top pressing (better saying for all the chain) where old mobile fidelity , many ABC records , shefield and DCC , old 4AD just to mentioned a few. Especially DCC was and still is my reference (RTI pressing of course) . So, I'm forced to believe that RI pressing is a top pressing . Why is that? Because I found ALL records from Music On Vinyl( I own more than 100) simply excellent, similar to DCC vinyls. And you know MOV vinyls came out from RI pressing ...

On average, their pressings very rarely have issues of nonfill, warps or heavy surface noise. And this is good. But very often I have found copies with very loud pops which don't go away even with a wet clean: dirty stampers? Usually replacing them fixes it, confirming that it's only a random issue with certain copies.

The best plant in existence. Hardly ever any warping, and ALWAYS dead silent. They do amazing work, consistently.

Edited 3 years agoSorry to add to the complaints but I just bought this record https://discogs.futbolgratis.org/release/10008877-Incubus-Make-Yourself pressed in the US by Record Industry, and side B of 1st LP is the worst popping I have ever heard on a brand-spankin'-new album even after deep cleaning twice. Both albums are not quiet at all, at times even distorted. I am very bummed :(

Edited 3 years agoTop class in Europe and probably the world. Pallas comes very close, RTI in the ballpark. If you want to experience a virtually noiseless and I mean [noiseless] LP, get a Record Industry disc. If immaculate can be applied anywhere it's here.

Seems this is the pressing plant that made Violator by Depeche Mode. One of the best quality pressings I have bought. Dead silent, not one single click or crackle on the whole album. Wish all records could be made this well.
