Funkadelic – Let's Take It To The Stage

It weird and it’s funky. A little more weird than funky. It gets to the funk but it’s a meandering though enjoyable path.

Need a cover for this, anyone with an extra please DM.

Although I own a number of Funkadelic LP's, I've not listened to this one before, so I don't know what other versions sound like, or what the production and mastering should sound like, but my pressing is clean and sounds good to me.

Does this sound as good as the 2004 Cosmic Slop?

Spacious, but distant. An album this good deserves more. It simply sounds poor.

Direct Metal Mastering really works for some recordings. This one sounds great. Very full sound with plenty of bottom end. Clarity, nice and balanced throughout. I can’t imagine an original beating it. I have a couple of old pressings and this one is my favorite of them. Got it for a steal. The DMM Westbound reissues from 1990-1991 are great. The completely white barcode box is what you want to look for. I got a sealed Maggot Brain and it’s awesome too

Pro tip (and this goes for any Funkadelic album): Read the liner notes ALOUD.

How do these 2005 re-issues stack up mastering-wise to the 1992 issues?

I recently purchased a release of this album. The sleeve shows all the correct designators, however the record is different.
Label code SEWA 035, made in "West-Germay "rather than "", suggesting a release prior to 1990. Anyone familiar with thie release?

Maybe the best produced of all the Funkadelics, which always had some wacky production values (I blame the drugs).
