As others have said, there's some surface noise. But not enough to swear off this release entirely. Got mine off eBay recently for a great price (around $11 plus shipping). I gave mine a good cleaning, and still had some slight surface noise. As someone else stated, it's probably off gassing from the older plastic that it's stored in (30 years old at this point). Gonna change out the old vinyl protector for the vinyl itself, and keep the one with the sticker on the outside of the new plastic. I've seen these popping up on eBay for around $20 or less lately. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it if you can get it around that price. Solid pressing aside from the aforementioned

This pressing blows the Music On Vinyl reissue out fo the water. I compared them side to side. Bass on this pressing is very powerful, which is an essential element for rap/hip hop.

Good sound. Quality package.

Wait, this thing was released in just a clear plastic sleeve? No jacket, no insert, no nothing? What kind of budget bullshit is that? Especially for something coming out on a major label. And yet the European release got a jacket? What was the reasoning behind all of this? Something to do with the decline of vinyl sales by 1994?

And don't even get me started on those awful PVC sleeves. Those things are STILL being used to this day.

Great sound, low surface noise, no crackles or pops, dynamic sound ! Packaging could be much better.

My copy has the same matrix/runout information, but the color of the cd is strong orange, not soft yellow. My jewel case is standard clear but the internal part of the case is orange. I bought this cd used, so maybe the jewel case was changed.

From what I've seen on this edition, it's the normal German version, but with an Obi. I've got some pics I can .

This sounds so good, punchy drums and loud guitars. Brings back a lot of youthful memories! Great pressing overall.
