Excellent SQ on this one! Steve & Kevin really nailed it here. The imaging and overall warmth of the sound here really sounds so nice. And, of course it's always a treat to hear the soulful tenor sax of Ike Quebec. Such a shame he left us so early.

Awesome pressing. Quiet background noise but dynamics are alive. Fantastic sound.

This was given a bad review and I want to address this. My copy has not got the ‘bleed’ issue, in fact it is dynamic, free of clicks etc, noise free and is totally flat, how many of the recent classic series can you say that about? I have an AP cd of this album and the biggest difference is the wider sound stage. Personally I prefer the narrow, nearer to mono sound that the lp gives me.

Gorgeous sounding pressing. Got this in a small collection and it's simply sublime.

Incredible pressing of a beautiful album. Warm and lush. Buy if you can find.

Gotta post here to rebut the other review. I just got this pressing, and I find it to sound wonderful. Nothing piercing, horn is nice and warm, the guitar is wonderful and the sound stage is nice and big. Great listen.

I´m happy with this release. I was surprised reading the ambivalent reviews on the 75th anniversary series. Good sounding record but poor pressing QC, clics here and there after cleaning. It would be nice a KG treatment on this and optimal pressing.

I have other 80s Blue Note DMMs that I like, but this is not one. This mastering is so tinny and hollow it actually hurts my ears. The cymbals are piercing, the sax is completely drained of warmth, not a whiff of base to be found. Just horrid and unlistenable. It sounds like it was recorded in a giant trash can, and that's where it belongs.

Another great disc from AP. Love it all the way!
