Meh. This is a very average album that is tough to get through. Which is a shame because when the source material isn't that strong (and this material isn't the best NIN has to offer) a remix should absolutely blow the original out of the water. This album seems to be a collection of sounds that doesn't make me want to hear it again.

Pretty good remix album. Why it wasnt a double disc? Theres so many other songs that couldve been remixed. And a number of "star" remixers that were left out cold. However, this was my introduction to Telefon Tel Aviv/Turk Dietrich. I prefer Keith Hillebrandts remixes. This would sadly be the last release he was part of. Hired gun. Hired for his knowledge and to build sample libraries.

Someone mentioned too many "starfuckers" remixes...yeah, they couldve done with a few less.

        Fond memories with this one.

susceptible to ringwear given that it's two LPs put into a standard sleeve, but the sound quality is great

"There are 2 major manufacturing variations. A darker/matte sleeve and darker labels is most common. The less common variant has brighter artwork and a glossy sleeve"

Also worth noting of the two variants - the lighter label copy has a very noticeable difference in thickness and sound quality - IMO superior on both counts. I would *almost* compare the darker one to a flexi-disc in its thickness.

I did a blind side by side test with my partner and the darker copy didn't have the same punch and depth as its cousin - and was pretty crackly compared to the copy I was used to.

Looking at them together I'd say both variants have dark labels but the gloss cover copy has much more blue in the centre labels while the matte copy is more of a greenish grey.

Which is too bad...probably going to re-sell the darker variant.

Brushed off this vinyl for the first time in years. Love the album but the vinyl itself is very poor and has a ton of skips and pops throughout even though being in mint condition. Shame since I doubt we’ll ever get a better pressing

I just realized I have this version. Thanks for adding it! Bought in, like, 2009-2010.

this release sounded less like a collection of remixes and covers and more like its own individual album. absolutely stunning

Too many mixes of goddamn "Starfuckers", still worth a listen just to hear the ASMR-style crooning on "The Great Collapse" - karmatic mantra, karmatic mantra.

A few of tracks are much better at 45 rpm.

My copy has Side 1a on both records, but the appropriate side B’s.
