Flume – Flume

The secondary pressing included with this release was a miss press thrown in for free. Since vertigo vinyl does not directly oversee production, the plant they used mistakenly pressed the entire center label as the full disk and that’s why this pressing was so delayed.

Came with an alt pressing not listed on the website, which was a nice surprise. Excitement quickly dashed by realizing the zoetrope disk was packaged separately/poorly and came warped.

Some surface noise but otherwise decent depth to the sound and the zoetrope effect looks nice. Just wish it wasn’t warped as it took forever to ship and only had a limited run, so I probably wont take my chances sending it back.

I’m going to say this sounds “okay”. The vinyl itself sounds clean. No background hiss. Not pops. But it seems to be ALL midrange. My favorite song “Insane” literally had no bass. And the highs (high hats etc) for all of the album seems very muted. Which makes it feel NOT very crisp. I will also say that the mix/mastering does not seem very consistent between tracks. I find myself wanting to adjust my EQ on this one where other records in my collection sound excellent. Also it’s awkward that each side of each record just cuts off in the middle of a song and picks up randomly on the other side after flipping.

I was really looking forward to this record. But I’m a bit disappointed. :-/

Honestly a solid pressing! A fewww crackles here and there (even after cleaning) but they were very minor. Glad I got my hands on the purple pressing!

I must say that I am here only for a song which in my opinion justifies the purchase of this record.

I getting this album as a kid on CD, asking for some "Electronic music" to the music store worker since I had only just heard some stuff on tv and he went off and came back with this album. I going home, putting this album on and listening to Sintra thinking what the heck am I listening to, but the further I got into the album, the sooner I realized I was in love. Owning this album now on vinyl feels and sounds truly amazing. It almost feels like I'm listening to the album for the first time again, but its so much more surreal and it sounds so clear and just perfect.

One of the best physical music purchases I've ever made. 10/10.

'holdin on' is probably not there on purpose, likely because of issues with the Anthony white sample or maybe it hadn't been completed. not necessarily a mispress / misprint

Can anyone confirm whether or not there are gaps between the songs on the mixtape LP?

does this come with a light purple hard plastic inner sleeve?

Great Record but....Limited to 1000 Copies and 1464 people own it??
