Slayyyter – Troubled Paradise

GORGEOUS!!! I'm so happy i own a Signed copy of this Vinyl. The pressing is very pretty and the sound is immaculate.

Sounds great! However mine is nowhere near clear at all! It’s like grey and white clouds almost, thinking maybe a pressing mistake looks cool asf though!

Didn’t think this could be as deliciously bassy as my starfucker vinyl but damn this might have even sured it. like my copy of starfucker the pressing itself isn’t great, fairly noisy and skips on clouds, neither side is centered and there’s slight warping but the mastering is rich and punchy and clear, rlly does such an explosive album justice. Visually this is a great release too, the cloudy clear disc rlly matches the album and the packaging is cute. The gatefold art is super blurry but I think that was intentional. The sticker it came with is so cute too, nice little cherry on top

got a copy of this with both labels stating side b w/ b side tracklist as well but all tracks present so just mislabeled.

UPDATE: Slayyyter will be selling signed vinyl records at the tour (both Mixtape and Troubled Paradise). They were available at the first show for 35$ each. Can't assure all tour dates will have these in stock.

does anyone else's copy have no matrix code? (i ordered from her store)

also, record sounds amazing - gatefold art is a lil blurry but it kinda adds to the 2000s aesthetic she's known for

edit: one issue - center hole is rly tight so you have to push the record down with force on the slipmat and worry about not breaking it when picking it up. jacket is also pretty tight, making it a pain in the ass to take the inner sleeve out and back in.

Mine has several skips but I think that might be my setup. For the most part, it sounds good.

Yeah, it was just my setup, it plays beautifully on my new turntable. No skips at all.

This sounds kind of tinny to me, like it's all treble and no bass.

My copy just arrived. Very happy to finally own any of Slayyyter's work on vinyl. "Troubled Paradise" is a great follow-up to her self-titled mixtape - it took me longer to fall for this album than her first project but I'm definitely in love with it. The sound is just amazingly clear specially in mid tempo and slow tempo songs. No skips noticed neither any surface noise as well.
Love the packaging although I'm just a little upset that the centrefold image is extremely blurry.
