Edited one year agoI bought 2 of these (1 for me and 1 for my brother) Then Mofigate broke. I was disappointed.
Thankfully I hadn’t opened mine yet and I sold my copy at no profit (my brother kept his copy despite being disappointed about it also). Personally. I am unwilling to pay USD125 plus expensive international shipping and import taxes for a DSD record that was marketed as being analogue, not to mention the on going quality control issues! If it’s no big deal, then why weren’t they honest about it from the start? Shame on you MFSL! -
I have an early CD an OG vinyl and the MOFI. The MOFI is clear and crisp with nice base. yes it has the digital step but smokes all other copies i have heard.
An under rated album by the eagles expertly crafted. Bitter sweet lyrics culminating in the track Bitter Creek.
An album you play to experience not one to play in the car or as back ground music. -

Unbelievable sound quality and listening experience, the closest thing to master tape on a Studer master tape machine (believe me…).
Fantastic and indispensable, impossible to come back. -
Bought this for my dad, not even really a fan of the eagles, but goosebumps when spinning this one. Sound quality is amazing.

I’m in awe. I really am. The sound of these One Steps is so spectacular that listening to “standard” vinyl is gonna be a problem when more of these box sets are coming out.

Edited 3 years agoWe've all heard these songs a thousand times or more but the minute I put this one step on I felt like I was hearing them for the first time.
It sounded totally different. Clear separation, deep bass and spacious imaging. Each instrument cleary definable.
In fact every one step I’ve bought so far has been the best sounding version of that particular album. -
Edited 2 years agoOk so I got the early pressing of this vinyl. I will say that they sound great. But...they were very noisy. Both discs were replaced at no charge. Also the covers had seam splits and both covers were replaced with no charge. So kudos to Mobile Fidelity for their customer care. That being said the vinyl sounds as good as possible. 0ne must that these type of pressings are only limited by the master tapes. If the master has distortion so will the pressing. So the sound is limited to the master tapes NOT by the format.

My copy is really mint, no surface noise all throughout the record playing. Sounds marvellous. Really happy with this release

Pathetic...bought both Eagles One Steps...Noisy as hell even after a wet wash...all 4 cardboard sleeves have seam splits and disc 2 of Desperado is warped...no more One Steps for me...
