Recorded in Buenos Aires in December 2009, at El Monumental "River Plate" Stadium.
Available as a 3-disc red vinyl set as well as a 2-CD package featuring multiple covers and a 24-page booklet. Also released on Live At River Plate DVD in 2011.

This is a great sounding live album. Very in-the-face sounding and crunchy. Highly recommended!

A really poor album in my opinion, but then again I've not been a fan of their live sound since the Ballbreaker tour. The crowd are too loud on this which spoils the music, but most of the old songs are always in the set and bore me hearing them now.
Surely after all these years, no-one wants to hear The Jack? The audio on this Vinyl sounds like it's a straight copy off CD, the end of each side cuts out in the middle of the crowd cheering, why?
You would think the record company would make more of an effort, maybe they should re-release it on black Vinyl with fade outs on each side like a normal live album.
Unless you are someone who buys all their albums on Vinyl, I'd either stick to the CD version of this or don't buy it at all, instead they should release the full Largo set from 1981 on triple Vinyl. -
This sounds fantastic and is hands down better sounding then their Live 2LP release back in 2003. Unfortunately, the album jacket comes crammed with the 3 records in cardboard sleeves. I was able to put the emptied out cardboard sleeves and the records placed in poly lined sleeves back into the jacket together, albeit a little snug but it works without damaging anything. Sound is excellent though so at the end of the day, turn it up and enjoy. -
Edited 3 years agoUn triplu live al celor de la AC/DC, cu plusuri și minusuri evidente. Concertul pare să fi fost extraordinar, piesele interpretate fiind excelente, iar maniera de interpretare, ca întotdeauna, la cele mai înalte standarde. Este încă o piesă de valoare din colecția mea. Imprimarea discului nu este la aceeași înălțime, sursa de pe care a fost imprimat nefiind una de mare calitate. Volum destul de redus, un sound destul de înfundat, înalte destul de slab redate, întrun cuvânt, sound destul de sărăcăcios. Se aude chiar și un ecou, la final de piese sau de față a discului. Aspectul roșu translucid este foarte plăcut ochiului, însă cred că ar fi fost mai bine dacă aspectele grafice ar fi fost îmbunătățite. O copertă gatefold sau chiar triplu gatefold și ceva informații pe o foaie de prezentare, suplimentară, cred că nu ar fi necesitat costuri prea mari. Recomand pretențioșilor o ediție mai bună calitativ, dacă există, însă nici această variantă nu este rea și mi s-a părut destul de accesibilă ca preț. Un disc pe care îl recomand tuturor și pe care îl notez cu 9,10, datorită unor lipsuri menționate. -
Really dig the sound of this record. Angus Young's guitar is incredible, the mix is simply stunning, so much juice and punch here.

Very little effort was put on this release. Just two fade in and two fade out throught the 6 sides.
Anyway, looks beautiful and sounds great. -
