My set came with the acrylic box broken on the die-cut Skrillex logo.
Does anyone have an undamaged acrylic box they'd be willing to sell to me, as a replacement for my set? -

The presentation on this box set is superb. The sound, also fantastic. The mastering work by Bernie Grundman is top notch. Records are pretty much noise-free. Haven't heard a pop yet. Highly recommended for a Skrillex fan.
Bass hits hard and is nice and punchy. I'm very VERY happy with this purchase.
My only gripe is that the remixes didn't get pressed. They give them to you for but some of the remixes on the early EPs are really nice. I kind of understand why they weren't included - Would have made some of these 2xLPs instead of one record a piece and this is a Skrillex Box set afterall so I can't complain too much about it. There's probably an element of the chain of custody on the audio not really being up to par with the Skrillex originals. -
Great box set. its absolutely gorgeous, love the cutout on the slipcase and the minimalist cover art. But there's a pretty big caveat, the slipcase is plastic. when I got mine in the mail I took it out of the cellophane and immediately pieces of the plastic slipcase fell off. now whether it was due to the brittle plastic or some mishandling by the postal service I can't say, though if it was made of a sturdy cardboard instead it may have just been some minor corner dings as opposed to shattered pieces and a slipcase that's now falling apart. Slipcase aside, a great boxset with some very iconic early 2010's EDM.

Edited 12 years agoI wont review the music because its a love/hate thing. The box set itself is beautifully designed and put together except for one thing; the photobook seems a bit thrown together. I feel like they could have done a bit more with the book. Having not heard his stuff on anything but digital files, it was nice to hear the solid but softer bass as well as the highs clearly and sharply. I picked up sounds I hadnt heard in the digital version in this set. The records themselves are masterfully made and protected in nice sleeves and covers. The box is made of a strong plastic with a logo cut out that lines up with the first record. If you have the money to throw at it, get it. As a collector set, ; he won 6 grammys... But purchase because you like the music first and foremost.
