Edited 17 years ago"Mystery Man (Remix)" by Clive Stevens & Brainchild is a ripping electro disco version of an otherwise average song in the style of the italo disco genre. This song has been the subject on so many underground mixes in the last few years based upon it's "re-discovery" by someone at some point in the 00's - probably one of the bigger DJ's in the Netherlands. Let's do a rundown of why this song is one of my favorites AND such an in demand song in 2007: A+ female vocals, the slowed down BPM is perfect, and the synth-hook is one of the best - right up there with the best of the best from Italy circa 1982-84. However, it's the first 30 seconds and the instrumental segments of this song that gets me everytime with that *PERFECT* synth/drum overlay that only few other songs can compete with ("Bad ion" by Steel Mind comes to mind as one example). One of the best and not to be missed by any electro-italo-disco lover.
