Edited 8 years agoSolid album. Good sound quality. Only grip I have with it is while all the other tracks have usual high quality vinyl sound, the album version of fantasy has a strange white noise and echo quality during the chorus that makes the song sound very rough and distorted. Not sure If that's from bad mixing or just the copy I got, but besides that, good album, with good remixes and good sound quality.

Edited 18 years ago"Fantasy" is Classic Mariah from the Golden Age of her career in the Mid-90s. The album version is an extremely slick slice of RnB, it was everywhere at the time - that Autumn it came out you couldn't get away from it. The release also features several David Morales remixes. The Def Club Mix never really grabbed me - perhaps it's overblown length or the fact it never really seems to settle into it's own groove. I'm not sure. The Sweet Dub Mix, on the other hand, is sublime. Carey sounds like a disco diva for the 90s on this, her vocals sensual and uplifting. It's also perhaps the finest piece of Deep House that Morales has ever produced. Find it somehow. If you like Deep House you NEED this.
