This sounds pretty amazing, my copy plays dead silent and is super detailed and punchy. I don’t have an “audiophile” setup but this is my reference album when making tweaks to my system.

Regarding locked groove vs non-locked groove at end of side A: I see 2 slightly different runout etching variants listed here on Discogs for these 2016 North American and European Union pressings.
For the EU pressing, the runouts listed do NOT have a side indication after the XLLP code etching. They all end in just 82B on each side.
For the NA pressing, the runouts listed DO have a side indication after the XLLP code etching. They end in 82B-A, 82B-B etc.
On my copy, which is a NA version, the runouts do NOT have a side indication after the XLLP code etching (all sides just end in 82B) and it DOES have locked groove at end of side A.
Could it be that the ones that don't have that side indication have the locked groove, while the ones that have that side indication don't have the locked groove? We would need others with the side indication (or without the locked groove) to chime in with the following info: side indication in runout / locked groove status / NA or EU

I must say I’ve learned that I hadn’t truly heard Radiohead until hearing their albums on vinyl. The mastering of Kid A as pointed out by so many is just perfect for vinyl, and the sound is so big and full compared to even hi res digital copy I own.

Edited 9 months agoThis sounds buttery. Love this pressing especially. The Europe 2016s of all of the radiohead albums sound excellent. One weird thing about mine is it's clearly the 2016 etchings but doesnt have the locked groove... I thought the 2022s had different etchings? hm.

Any way to distinguish by outer packaging alone a sealed copy of this versus https://discogs.futbolgratis.org/release/25658497-Radiohead-Kid-A ? Looking so hard for a copy of this, and many sellers don't know the difference. Only method I can think of is removing the shrink in order to the C side matrix stamp, which understandably sellers may not want to do. Having a tough time finding a copy of this in America.
