With the problems of distortion and pops with the vinyl and song titles only listed on CD discs I have decided to just stick with the streaming version
-
-
ooookay updating after some time on the shelf: all of the records are now housed in the book on its side on my record shelf. no more warp in the book after just letting it sit empty for... eight-ish months? granted i never paid too close attention just kinda put it on the bookshelf and forgot about it until i noticed it was back to normal
-
The dynamic range and production quality for this re-release is definitely noticeable, and is on par for the most part with past XL Recordings editions of these albums.
However, nearly all discs have moments of popping on both sides, which completely ruins it. Shame, really. -
Great package all the way around. The book is a little much, but the records are great and the presentation is classy. Vinyl sleeves included to replace the paper ones. Good stuff.
-
As others have noted, many tracks suffer from severe noise or distortion. I initially thought it was overloading my cartridge, but it appears during quiet and even silent ages.
-
Edited 3 years agoWow, I was so excited about this release, finally got a sealed copy today. What a piece of crap, all three records are dished the book is coming unglued where you put the records in (two of the three pockets) This is the low-grade dog food of Radiohead releases. So Angry
-
Edited 3 years agoI must have lucked out, ive only experienced some slight distortion in EIIRP. Otherwise this is beautiful. The quality of this really hit me on In Limbo.
-
I know others have mentioned this. I cannot recommend this pressing or the standard Kid A Mnesia pressing. Both of these have right channel distortion on the first Amnesiac side, in some really quiet songs, and the customer service from W.A.S.T.E. essentially does not care.
My Capitol pressings sound better than these.
I know we are in a time where pressing quality is questionable, but the customer service team essentially said "No one has complained and you are the only person that has brought this our attention. Our Vinyl team only puts out the highest quality, etc..." This is the first special pressing from Radiohead I regret buying. -
