One of the greatest live albums of all time.
Just re-ordered it to replace the missing Side A and B from the 2014 limited edition box set, which unfortunately had a mispressing issue. That original set was a beauty, but having those crucial sides missing made it incomplete. This 2022 reissue finally fixes that problem, giving me the full Alive 2007 experience on vinyl as it was meant to be heard.
The pressing quality on this 2022 reissue is solid. The sound is just as electrifying as ever—deep, punchy bass, crisp highs, and the perfect blend of crowd energy that makes this album feel alive in the truest sense. From the opening of "Robot Rock / Oh Yeah" to the mind-blowing mashups that define the setlist, everything is here in pristine form. Daft Punk’s mastery of live performance is undeniable, and this vinyl pressing does justice to one of the greatest electronic music experiences ever captured.
Now that I’ve got the full set, the problem is solved. Every transition, every drop, every euphoric moment from the show is intact, exactly as it should be. Spinning this record brings back that feeling of witnessing the legendary pyramid in action—those who were lucky enough to see the Alive 2007 tour in person will know what I mean. It’s not just an album; it’s a time capsule of electronic music at its peak.
Now if you excuse me, I’m going to put this on, and along with it, the Encore—which, unfortunately, didn’t come with the 2022 reissue. Thankfully, the 2014 pressing with the etched Alive logo from the box set completes the puzzle. It’s finally all here, the full Alive 2007 experience in its entirety.
Overall Score: 10/10 -
Sides A and B sound compressed and not as good as my old CD. Sides C and D sound great (no pun intended). The gatefold packaging for this is also really nice and exactly why we buy LPs instead of CDs.

I was really considering buying this but then I found out that this version doesn't have the encore :(

Agree with other comments. Need to turn the volume up. But when you do that, you are in a powerfull live session. Otherwise, it's a quiet vinyl, perfectly pressed, but sits in poor paper innersleeve...

I didn’t expect this album to translate so well to vinyl, but holy shit it really does. This is my first live record and I must say, listening to the performance in this way really emphasizes how magical of an experience it must have been at witness. Having such a special concert committed to a recording and then played back on my turntable emphasizes just how fantastic this record is.

The robots rock. I chose this over Discovery, which I've owned on CD prior, never heard this until now. ❤️🤘

Really sounds good, except side B sounds quite flat. As others have said, really well mixed and engineered. I probably just got unlucky.

Edited one year agoThe album sound awesome and open. I have not had scratches or pop sounds. This provides really great experience of their live show and beats any of the digital releases. I have not been able to hear any other releases than the 2022 Reissue.

I rarely leave comments, but had to come echo what everyone else has said: one of the best engineered records in my entire collection, and a live album, no less. The louder you play it, the better it sounds, and if you have a sub woofer get ready for the bass to absolutely THUMP, with no fuzziness to speak of. Absolute 10/10 on any and every level I can think of.

Anyone know where this was pressed? Sounds fantastic. As others have said, down low, sounds average but crank it and it literally comes alive (rega 3 with ortofon 2m).
