Had they kept the original color photograph of that image I would have bought this release immediately. The fact they decided to release it in some blue solarized "white" washing turned it into something I didn't like. Your comment exemplifies my issue. You can't make out the photo.

Edited one year agoSounds alright, not the best as it’s a picture disc, but that’s to be expected. Not bad at all, though! I own an original maxi of Erotica and it’s difficult to tell the difference. Wish Erotica as an album would get a proper, quality US repress though :((((( one day

Sounds amazing for a picture disc. I'm not a picture disc hater by any means... but the sound quality is definitely there and better than most.
-
I think it sounds pretty good! It obviously has the classic picture surface noise, but in of sound quality it’s pleasing to listen to.
-
The sound is clean but not the best, it seams a little washed, I think, due the material. The sound from the reissue album 2012 is a master piece, enjoyable for every audiophile. I am unfortunately not happy with this copy.

Hands down scratchier and a bit louder in the surface noise department compared to the original Orlake press. Picture quality is a bit grainier and not quite clean (it is cropped in a bit tighter than Orlake) so perhaps photo clarity suffered a bit due to this crop. Outer band is solid black and in line with bootleg copies vs. Orlake which has more of a full bleed of the photo. Overall still a neat release and at a significant cost savings.

I'm thoroughly impressed by the amazing sound quality!!! This picture disc sounds better than some standard black pressings I have in my collection. The only thing lacking quality is the packaging. It comes in a cheap PVC sleeve (which we know releases a chemical that destroys the record over time) and it was already ripped at the bottom before even taking it out of the box. The hype sticker is also very cheap. I re-packaged my record in a rice paper sleeve and was going to move the hype sticker to a new outer sleeve, but the contents of the sticker ended up cracking and falling apart, with half of the ink from sticker being left on my fingers. I do however appreciate the double-sided cardboard backing that was included. Makes the record a bit sturdier when handling it.

It looks great and it's nice to have in your collection but there's lots of surface noise, as you'd expect from a picture disk (and no, I don't mean the scratch intro of the song itself).

The sound is just amazing!!! I don't have white "Erotica" vinyl to compare but I doubt sound quality could be better. Well done!
