Edited 5 months agoSo, I got my hands on this version at last but was it worth the wait? It is still a cool replica and is a little different to the previous replica released some months before the PH one.
This has a matte reproduction instead of glossy.
I don't have the original to compare to but it is better than any other bootleg I have come across in of sound and artwork reproduction. A lot of work and care obvioulsy goes into these replicas to try and make the best possible product.
This PH version is a lot more expensive than the other 2024 replica and I don't really see why it should be. It offers nothing that is better or higher quality and it uses its own label branding rather than trying to be an exact copy of the original.
I am a big fan of PHs releases though and it is a cool addition. I would say by it but it is not essential if you already own the glossy replica that came before it.
It would be awesome if those responsible would put their efforts into something like Burzum's Filosofem. The original is so much more beautiful than the BoB reissues and deserves this kind of care and attention.
PH obviously feel the need to spend their time and energy on high quality reissues where the official ones fail us and there is certaintly a market for it. -

Excellent bootleg again from "PHR" fellas. Someone pointed out that the other bootleg ("Moonfog version") https://discogs.futbolgratis.org/release/32064282-Satyricon-The-Shadowthrone has a louder B side, but I`m not hearing any differences in here? although I bet that both of these bootlegs we`re pressed at the same time.
Anyways if you can`t afford the first pressing, but want the original looks (like every sane person in this case) I highly recommend to get this in your collection. -
Edited 5 months agoHow come PH come out with a very similar high quality bootleg a couple of months later after some unknown produced replica is released?
Thought the Burzum one was a coincedence now i am not so sure.
