Superb, nice and quiet. Love the gatefold, great quality all around! Comes with an extra paper sleeve , which I'm not sure what the purpose is other than something to put your already sleeved vinyl in, definitely wouldn't put the vinyl bare in there. Does anyone know why this is or am I overthinking?

Edited 2 years agoI think this pressing sounds excellent. I'm always sad when Daydream finishes and you realize the record is actually over. Pumpkins records are first class. I have to believe that Billy and/or the band take vinyl seriously.

Disappointed with this press, actually skips at several points straight out of the sleeve (bough sealed). This is one of my favorite albums from the 90s, too bad.

Another fabulous SP reissue. Clearly, whoever is in charge of these has been listening. Beautiful foil tip on Stoughton jacket, disc in a poly lined inner which kept the thick paper one from being damaged…disc is flawless and the mastering is incredibly good. I have had nothing but wonderful things to say about this, Siamese Dream and the Mellon Collie box set which I’ve gotten over the past year. Of course, there was still some dirt/factory debris on the disc but a quick wet clean and every single disc I have played (of the 7 total) has had zero surface noise and no visual issues. Sure, there are bound to be a few that escape QC with some flaws, but reissues really don’t get much better than these unless you’re talking Analogue Productions or some smaller audiophile label. For the zillionth time- anyone who thinks they can just open the record and throw the disc on the turntable without cleaning and have no pops or crackles is delusional. A+++

This is a fantastic pressing of a fantastic album. The sound on the disc is bright, sharp, and punchy without being harsh, with a deep bass and best of all, a lot of presence on the drums, which for me is the highlight of this album. This version also features a really gorgeous foil gatefold, albeit not super shiny or reflective. My pressing's disc was also 100% flat, dead quiet, and nice and heavy, emphasizing the very high quality of this release. Pick it up if you can, it's my favorite way to listen to this amazing debut.

Bummer so many have issues. I bought mine when it came out and it sounds fucking brilliant. Again, I clean all my records before playing (your cleaning technique matters, a lot) and most of the time have a great experience unless the pressing is crap. This pressing, or at least my copy, is far from shit and is a total joy to listen to. My 2 cents is try giving your records a quality deep clean before tossing it in the crap bin.
