My copy arrived with the box, book, jackets and inserts in perfect shape, but while inspecting the discs I found the third and fourth records had big scratches, they didn't affect the sound at all except for 2 or 3 mild pops here and there but still, an eyesore I couldn't live with, so I asked for a replacement, got it, took the vinyls from the second copy and replaced the scratched ones, so now I have a perfect copy. Soundwise this is very close to the CD version I have of this record, dunno why people complain so much about it, saying stuff like it lacks bass or a wider soundstage, I myself have tower speakers and a subwoofer, so I almost never have problems with the low end, and regarding the wider soundstage, well, it is a pink floyd gig, why would you go for a vinyl instead of the blu ray which has a 5.1 dts master audio (96/24) sound, huh? people nowadays seem to buy vinyls for the hype rather than the sound, so they don't actually know what they are getting and thus, they end up disappointed when the sound is not like they from their mp3 files, seriously. Anyway, package is top notch, discs house in printed sleeves inside cardboard jackets, I put plastic sleeves inside these as well to store the vinyls so they don't get scratched any further. This is not a mandatory record for pink floyd fans imo, I enjoy more watching the gig than only listening to it, but for any completist like myself, it is indeed a fancy article to own so I would recommend it nonetheless, just get your fingers crossed you get a copy that's not horribly scratched.

This pressing sounds very good, no surface noise, nice soundstage and just a very good sounding pressing overall. Unfortunately, like many others have said, two of my records came with big marks on them (one had a melting? mark on comfortably numb and one had a huge scratch throughout on the run and Time). The marks are inaudible on my copies, but they look quite bad, so dont hesitate to request an exchange if your copy arrives with such damages, especially if they are audible.

Hello, I unfortunately threw away the hype stycker when it was released in 2018, I regret it today. If someone wants to sell me one and they don't think it's important, I would like them to sell it to me. Just stycker. THANKS ! Raphael ()

Lovely box set so glad they reissued it on vinyl. Just a shame it doesn’t have a red flashing light 🤣🤣

Edited one year agoAs far as I can tell there is no 2022 version of this so not sure what people are referring to here? That aside I’m happy with this in general. Yes not the most dynamic and I do the CD being better ( in my head at least ) disc 3 and 4 sound better than 1&2 to my ear at least. I’m fortunate that my discs are free of scratches unlike some. Although disc 3 has an annoying edge warp which seems to be common with new 180gm pressings these days. Plays well tho and free from clicks or pops. Damn those cardboard inner sleeves tho. How much for would it take for record companies to stretch for poly liners to save the static cluster f&@k that ensues. Booklet is blurry yes but can’t recall what og version was like??? OG’s are koo koo $$ so this is acceptable for the monetary outlay required. mark from me solid 4 out of 5

I have bought two copies of this, but return both. There are many of scrathes, the big one scrath on WYWH on both copies - permanent needle jump, unplayable. On this reason in the music shop I can't get fully quality box. It's very sad, because sound on this press is incredible. Maybe I will try to get another one, but don't sure - this searching is waste of time and nervous. If your music shop isn't loyal to chandge copies, don't advice this vinyl. Control of quality on Optimal Media GMBH is dissapointed.

I'm not sure if they did a repress, but the first set I received had pretty bad scratches on LP2 and LP4, the replacement also had pretty bad scratches on LP4 and the third replacement had scratches on all four records.
Anyone running into the same issue or do I just have bad luck? -
Great album but I always wondered how come compared to the dvd version we get an inferior guitar solo on Sorrow?
