My all time favorite Floyd album and one of the greatest albums ever! I cherished my early 80's Japanese pressing, which I always liked sound wise. A few years ago I spend a lot of money on a very good copy of the MFSL Anadisc 200 version. I therefor hesitated long to buy a copy of the latest remaster, but I am glad that I did it! It sounds very detailed and has a deep and more tight bass reproduction. I compared the MFSL version and this one after each other on the song "Fat Old Sun". This one: deeper and tighter bass, more detail, directer drums and clearer cymbals. MFSL: warmer sounding, yet detailed. This One: more rock feeling and best one if you want to determine how they constructed the album. MFSL: Go for this version if you are looking for the psychedelic trip experience. Both versions are highly recommendable, but considering the money: buy the latest remaster, way better that the original Japanese pressing (which was already very good).

Wonderfully psychedelic album, especially Side 1, which has Pink Floyd at it's abstract weirdest. Great stereo-mix & the vinyl itself on my copy is dead-quiet.

Sounds great overall. Gentle remaster, like it is for the other PF reissues.
Just a few pops and hiss sounds without cleaning - nothing serious.
Worthy purchase - no point to look for the original for me.

Pink Floyd should be heard on LP. maybe there are some nice CD/SACD’s out there but this is the real deal. the sound is fantastic, very nice pressing, great reproduction in general.

Listened to this album for the first time ever. I heard a lot of mixed reviews about the music before. However, I love it from the beginning to the end. Fantastic music.

The pressing is top notch. No noise, no pops.

Since I am collecting the remastered versions of all PF albums I had very very few quality issues with them. And when I encounter pops or anything that are annoying I just return it and try a different one.

My copy, variant 1, came with surface noise and a scratch…

These 2016 Floyd remasters are probably the best sounding records I have. Incredible quality

Well this is a wonderful pressing - crystal clear not a pop, crackle or hiss to be heard ( amazed its vinyl ! 😂🤣) sound is brilliant. Pity its only a plain inner though but a nice quality one !

My pressing is really good! It has very little surface noise and is bass-heavy. Mine had the locked groove with running water at the end of side b.
